As a company, we value intentionality in our relationships, and this coffee is a prime example of that. Over a decade ago, C&C owner Chuck was working in Ethiopia for the nonprofit Technoserve’s East African Coffee Initiative, where he first met team members of coffee importer Trabocca. The relationship they maintained for the past 10 years became an integral part of the origins of Cat & Cloud, leading to many of our current partnerships in Ethiopia and Kenya.
The Halo Beriti washing station is on the outskirts of Yirgacheffe, and this coffee has a lot of the fun, exciting layers you’d expect from this region: elements of cherry, kiwi, and florals all in one. This coffee is an adventure for the experienced coffee drinker who is looking for those light, tea-like characteristics found in African coffees.
