Sparkling effervescence, sweet stone fruit, and warm aromatics, the DRC Buruga is a wonderfully complex coffee. The first sip opens on the palette with the tang of Cherry Cola, before rolling into the heavy sweetness of Apricot, creating a fine balance of body and sparkle. As the coffee settles it closes with the gentle earthiness of Black Tea, leaving you ready for that next sip. This is a great coffee for anyone familiar with lighter-end coffees and looking for an exciting new experience.

This delicious washed coffee comes to us from the Buruga Washing Station, a micro station within the Solidarité Paysanne pour la Promotion des Actions Café et Développement Intégral (SOPACDI) Co-Op. The coffee trade in the DRC has been a historically challenging and at times dangerous industry, which makes Buruga’s success quite inspiring using its coffee to help unite people for a better future.

  • Brew with a 1:16 ratio (one gram of coffee to every 16 grams of water).
