The Aricha opens with sweet, juicy watermelon accompanied by the brightness of ripe blueberries before cooling into a delicate oolong finish This coffee has layers of delicate fruit sweetness that balances perfectly with the nuanced acidity. This coffee encapsulates everything we love about washed coffee from Ethiopia and is a great option for people who like delicate and nuanced single origins.

Like most Ethiopian washing stations, the lots that Aricha receives from each farmer are typically too small to process independently, but their team does as much as they can to preserve the flavors of each community. They separate each processing batch by the farming community, which allows them to not only preserve the flavors of their area but also make it so that the profit from each coffee can return to the communities that grew it. This lot comes from the namesake of the washing station, the Aricha community.

Brew Recipe

To get the best out of this coffee we always recommend this recipe as a stating point

  • Brew with a 1:16 ratio (one gram of coffee to every 16 grams of water).
  • Get your Water as HOT as you can.
  • Adjust your grind for a 3-4 minute brew time. (The finer the grind, the longer it will take to brew)
