Tasting Notes: Blackberry, Kiwi, Dr. Pepper

Juicy berries, delicate tropicality, and bright effervescence make La Laguna an exceptional coffee. Bursting in that first sip with ripe Blackberry, that rich purple fruit is lifted by the freshness of Kiwi, and rolled in the wonderfully complex blend of cola and spice of Dr.Pepper. La Laguna is an excellent example of the unique symphony of flavor offered in Natural coffees, and is perfect for anyone familiar with lighter coffees looking for some adventure.

This coffee comes to us from the world-renowned growing region of Tarrazu in Costa Rica. Located in the interior mountains of Costa Rica, Tarrazú has some of the tallest peaks in the country. This high elevation results in coffee with a complex flavor profile, sparkling acidity, and a heavy body. Hidden in the Westernmost slopes is a tiny wet mill run by the Mora Family, Agropecuario Hellen, focusing solely on wild, natural processed coffee. The Mora’s were one of the first families and micro wet mill projects to take the risk and experiment with their harvests by natural processing. We are stoked to share this coffee from this incredible little powerhouse of a milling station.
