This new Kenyan coffee comes to us from the Kagumoini coffee factory. Operated by the Kamacharia Farmers Cooperative Society, the factory is an association of 6,100 smallholding producers who provide training seminars on good agricultural practices giving them the tools to pursue better quality coffee. The Kenyan Co-op system does offer its challenges in tracing coffees back to individual producers but it has its benefits, allowing producers the ability to sell their coffee cherries no matter the size of their farm or amount of coffee grown.
Bright fruity sweetness and warm toasted nuttiness make the Kenya Kagumoini an absolutely stunning cup of coffee. Opening with a burst of juicy Strawberry, before lifting even higher with grapefruit acidity. As it settles on the palate, the Kagumoini rolls into beautifully roasted pine nuts in the finish, making it an awesome choice for anyone familiar with lighter coffees looking for a complex new experience.
