Juicy berry, developed sugars, and a rich earthiness make the Rwanda Karrengera an incredibly unique coffee. Bursting in the first sip with ripe Blackberry, and lifted by the sweet tang of Dried Apricot. Each sip levels into the distinctive aroma of Sage, giving it a light, soothing finish. This is an excellent coffee for anyone looking for a wonderfully unique, lighter coffee to start their day.

Over the last twenty years, the coffee industry in Rwanda has undergone massive shifts. Through the support of various government initiatives and international NGOs, new washing stations have opened in all coffee-growing regions, cooperatives have been established, and utilize innovative cupping labs built into shipping containers. Previously, as the government set the price, all coffee was considered “commercial grade,” but for the last 10 years, Rwandan specialty coffee has consistently ranked among the finest in the world. We are stoked to share a coffee with such a rich history of growth and feature the region’s diverse flavor on our menu.
